Paak United started this game far better than they finished it.
They looked far more threatening early on went ahead through a fierce free-kick on the half hour mark.
It seemed to stir the Blackburn side into action and great little one-two at the edge of the box saw them draw level through Toowara.
The second half was a different story altogether and maybe it was a sign of Blackburn’s new found confidence when their most experienced player Kalim Hafeji strode from the back to volley home a fantastic strike to put his side ahead.
It seems to take the wind out of Paak and Blackburn finished off the Pendle Charity League side with two more goals.

Coppice see off stubborn Asia

Asia FC 1 Coppice United 3
Coppice came back into this tournament after a year out and it seemed they hadn’t been away  at all.
They went ahead early on and things had a familiar feel to them.
But Asia came back strong and equalised after a brilliant counter-attack and finish. And here is where Asia should have capitalised.
For 15 minutes in the first half they were by far the better side and squandered some good chances.
As the second half wore on though Coppice came back into the game and took the lead through a thumping header. As Asia pressed for an equaliser Coppice booked their place in the semi’s with a penalty.
This was a far better effort than was expected from Asia and on another day they may have come through this fixture. Three times winner s Coppice though looked as ominous as ever.
