Police are investigating an attack by racist thugs in a west London pub that spoiled celebrations on the day of Chelsea’s Premier League victory parade.

Police were called to the incident at the Duke on the Green pub in New Kings Road, SW6, shortly before 6.30pm on May 25.

A 40-year-old man had been in the toilets when he was racially abused and punched several times around the head by two men.

The victim's brother, aged 37, went to remonstrate with the attackers and was then set upon himself outside the pub, being thrown to the floor and kicked in the head and face.

He suffered three fractures to his jaw and is still receiving medical attention for his injuries.

Police want to speak to two men captured on CCTV, and have released images of the pair.

Detective Sergeant Clare Chattaway, who is leading the investigation, said: "A day of celebration ended in misery with the victims and their family still in shock from what took place.

“This was a particularly vicious assault with one victim continuing to receive medical treatment for the injuries he sustained when he was brutally kicked in the face.”
