A teenager from Battersea has become the youngest ever person to win investment in the infamous Dragon's Den.

Arminder Singh Dhillon, 15, invented the Boot Buddy when he was just 11-years-old, a time-saving device to clean muddy football boots.

The teen took Boot Buddy into the den and impressed Touker Suleyman, Deborah Meaden and Peter Jones so much that they each invested in his business.

Arminder said: "The whole experience is indescribable. I’m still amazed at having seen my idea become an actual product and to now have the support of three such inspirational business people is incredible.

"Stepping in to the Dragons’ Den was definitely daunting but I’d rehearsed my pitch thoroughly and I had my mother and brother by my side for support so I wasn’t too nervous."

Arminder came up with the idea for Boot Buddy after being frustrated by how long he spent cleaning muddy football boots after training and games.

He now hopes to take Boot Buddy to a wider audience by attending trade shows and festivals in the UK and abroad.

Each of the three dragons invested £20,000 for 10 per cent share of the business.

Mr Jones said: "We’re so impressed by Arminder. He’s come up with a fantastic product and had the drive and determination to see it through.

"He’s leading the way for the next generation of great British business people."

Boot Buddy allows the user to clean shoes in a couple of minutes with 300ml of water.

Ms Meaden said: "Living on a farm I can definitely see the need for a product like Boot Buddy.

"It will save you from spending countless hours cleaning mud off your shoes which is frankly one of the most tedious household chores there is."

Mr Suleyman added: "We’re all delighted to be working with Arminder and hope that our collective experience and connections will help Boot Buddy become a household brand."

Arminder's episode of Dragon's Den aired on BBC2, on Sunday, July 24.
