The Abu Hanifah Foundation’s end of year celebration was a major success with over a thousand people attending.

The Blackburn based community organisation runs an Islamic school, football club for over 400 boys, girls sports club, disability football sessions, weekend school and one of the largest scouts group in Lancashire.

As well as a football tournament and awards ceremony, the children, families and supporters were treated with BBQ and biryani with a vast array of activities including giant inflatables, archery, laser tag, rifle shooting and bubble football.

Deli Delite and KQF volunteered to feed over 1200 people

The event held at Harrison playing fields,. Pleckgate was attended by Kate Hollern MP who described the event as a big success and a shining example of the amazing work that is being done by volunteers within the town.

Mayor Hussain Akhtar took part in a variety of activities including Tomahawk throwing, archery and entertaining children on the arts and crafts table.

Dr Khalid Master, Chairman of Abu Hanifah Foundation said “The entire event was planned around the most important people, the children. 

"We want fun and learning to be at the centre of everything we do and judging by the smiles on the kids faces, the event has been a huge success”.

Manchester City Head of Junior Academy Trevor Todd supplied 10 pairs of Nike boots to giveaway and local businesses NuhrHome Candles, CupcakesbySophia, Islamic Pixels, FigNOlive and Al Zayn also provided prizes for lucky winners.
