Many Muslims have a big problem with the leave campaign and it has to do with those who personalities who are supporting the campaign.

When I look across the pages of newspapers and websites I see Nigel Farage doing nothing more than trying to make immigrants the sole problem.

Just last week he unveiled a blatantly racist poster. When asked if this was offensive in any way he actually had the nerve to defend it.

Now, I’m not saying the Leave Campaign has not had its moments but the essence seems to focus on the issue of thousands of immigrants who happen to be Muslim, making their way to the UK if we choose to stay in the EU.

The fact is that that migrants to the UK are not Muslim at all. Most are from other European nations and not even brown!

We can try to dress up the EU debate as much as we want but this referendum boils down to a decision about immigrants and how this nation treats the sons and daughters of immigrants already here.

Can I really make myself vote for the Leave campaign after what I have witnessed in the past four months?

Expect more horror stories when we wake up tomorrow.

And then we have the case of those who are backing this campaign and one which the Leave Campaign themselves are likely to be embarrassed by.

Earlier this month Katie Hopkins said of the Muslim month of Ramadan, “Is it a month of self-sacrifice, self-discipline and charitable giving - or of vengeance?"

She added, “When I told Twitter this column was incoming a young woman asked 'what a white non-Muslim was doing writing a column on Muslims special day.'

“It turns out being white is now a problem in my country. And as a non-Muslim, some feel I should not have a voice.

“We are endlessly tolerant. Putting our arms around Islam just as the Head of the Caliphate calls for jihadists in Europe to stab us in the back.

“If we are a truly secular society. Just how much longer are we going to pander to this intolerant religion of peace?”

Yes, this column was written in a national newspaper. The very same newspaper which is backing the Leave campaign.

I’m sorry, but by not voting today right minded people are doing themselves a great injustice.

It may well be Ramadan but if you don’t vote, then don’t blame anyone when people like those mentioned on this page indulge in their own self-gratification come Friday morning.
